Fifty Shades movie is based on the ‘Fifty Shadesof Grey’ written by E L James. It is a bestselling erotic novel. The novel presents a sadomasochistic romance between Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. The wealthy Christian Grey is dominant and his sex partner Ana is submissive. She is a college girl of 21 years. The production unit of the movie was searching for a perfect person to play the lead roles in the Fifty Shades Movie. After a prolonged period of speculations and discussions, it was decided that Charlie Hunnam would play the role of Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson would play the role of Anastasia Steele.
The speculation about who would play Christian Grey was at peak intensity even in March 2012. A million names were discussed and E L James finally locked down her on screen Anastasia Steel and Christian Grey on September 2. She announced that ‘Dakota Johnson and Charlie Hunnam have been cast to play the converted roles of in the film adaptation of her erotic love story’.  Dakota, who is the daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, is best known for her starring role on the now-defunct Fox sitcom Ben & Kate.
Charlie Hunnam also had agreed to play the role of kinky billionaire Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades movie, but on October 13 along with the production team, he announced that he has parted ways with the movie. According to Hunnam, he has denied the lead role due to his ‘immerse TV schedule. He has assured the production team that he also would help them in finding a perfect star for the Fifty Shades movie. Charlie Hunnam had received criticism from the fans and experts in casting in this film. They said that he is not sexy enough to handle such a high profile job. The fans did not spare Dakota Johnson too, but she is still in the movie.
It has assumed that Charlie Hunnam walked away from the Fifty Shades movie after developing ‘cold feet’ because of extreme attention from fans. He is a man who does not like to be famous. He isn’t the only one who feels pressure about his role. Dakota Johnson, contracted to play Ana in the adaptation of the bestseller also is reportedly having problems with the media attention from her casting. The twenty four year old actress feels pressure about the hotly-discussed role. Fans were not thrilled when it was announced that Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson would play the lead roles in the film. The announcement was received with lukewarm response. They seriously doubt her potential of being the sex slave of Christian Grey. The angry fans of the trilogy took to the campaigning web platform to express their unhappiness at the casting. The trilogy has huge fans support as 70m copies of it were sold worldwide.
Though Charlie has walked away from the movie, Dakota Johnson would play the role of Anastasia Steele as scheduled if nothing drastic takes place over the coming days.

Charlie Hunnam drops out of 'Fifty Shades of Grey': Fan Power?

Can be new Entrance in Fifty Shades
Fifty Shades of Grey is a scheduled to be produced by Universal Pictures. The movie is based on the erotic best-selling novel written by E L James. It was decided that Charlie Hunnam would play the lead role in the film along with Dakota Johnson, but the film makers and Charlie Hunnam agreed to find another actor to replace him. It was announced by the Universal Pictures on October 13.
Fifty Shades of Grey tells the story of a college student, Anastasia. She starts a love relationship with Christian Grey, a very successful businessman of 27 years. Their relationship started when she interviewed him for her college newspaper. Eventually, Anastasia lost her virginity to him. In order to keep their relationship purely sexual, he wants her to sign a secret agreement. He defines their relationship as one of ‘dominance and submission’. There is a lot of tension in the novel over the nature of relationship and the possibility love and romance. The novel also gives importance to Anastasia’s sexual explorations. It is a very popular novel with thousands of fans.
Charlie Hunnam, a busy English actor and a screen writer stated that he would not able to play the lead role due to his ‘immerse TV schedule’. The main character in the novels is very famous and could make a lasting impact on the minds of the viewers. The confirmation of his casting was announced only a month before and there were a lot of rumours about who would win this coveted role. Charlie Hunnam feels that his busy schedule does not allow him to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey which is in his opinion is very demanding. He also has assured that he would help the filmmakers to find a proper replace for him in the film.
When it was confirmed that he would play the lead role in the movie, it suffered a backlash from the fans. The fans wanted actors like Robert Pattinson or Ran Goseling to play the role of Christian Grey in the film. Not everyone who read the novel had imagined Charlie Hunnam as ChristianGrey. They feel that Charlie Hunnam is not sexy enough to play the role and their response was lukewarm. In fact, they were disappointed. Dakota Johnson also is criticized for the same reason, but as of now she stands to play the role of Ana in the movie. The critics feel that the drop out could be the power of fans.

There are reports which confirm that Charlie Hunnam actually got ‘cold feet’ and dropped out of playing the controversial role. These reports stress that it had nothing to do with immerse TV schedule. The pressure of playing one of the coveted roles also is attributed as the reason behind the drop out. Charlie Hunnam has said that the pressure of the film was ‘daunting if I think it was too much’. Now the filmmakers should start afresh if Dakota Johnson also decides to pull out of the film.

Dakota with Charlie in Fifty Shades of Grey Movie

It's the Movie Fifty Shades everyone wants to be in - Fifty Shades of Grey is the book that everyone is talking about and is now being made by Universal Pictures and Focus Features into a feature film. The erotic trilogy by E.L. James tells us of an unconventional love story between dominant, handsome, billionaire Charlie Hunnam as Christian Grey who has some rather kinky and perverse tastes in the bedroom, whereas his object of desire, Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele is an innocent, 21-year-old virgin who has a love of British classics and likes to drink tea. This unsuspecting pair end up in a violently passionate relationship full of elating highs, crashing lows and earth-shattering sex. Anastasia Steele is described as being a thin, pale girl with long dark hair and blue eyes that are too big for her face. Almost every actress in Hollywood wants the part, from the big, worldly stars like Angelina Jolie and Scarlett Johansson, to lesser-known actresses like Lily Collins and Alexis Bledel. However, it seems one actress has taken the lead in the candidacy for Anastasia Steele in the movie version of Fifty Shades of Grey - Katie Cassidy.

The 25-year-old actress has recently appeared in Gossip Girl and Melrose Place will have to compete with actresses such as Emma Stone, Emma Watson and Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale for the role of submissive Anastasia Steele. Emma Watson has revealed to the media that she hasn't been approached for the role nor has she read the script, despite the countless rumors on the Internet about her involvement in the movie, but that doesn't mean the Harry Potter starlet is out of the running. Actors for the role of Greek god and sadistic CEO Christian Grey include fan favorites Ryan Gosling of The Notebook fame, Ian Somerhalder from the Vampire Diaries, and Swedish True Blood Hunk Alexander Skarsgard. Channing Tatum's name was also linked to the part, but he mentioned in an interview that he'd only agree to do the part if his wife Jenna Dewan were cast opposite him as Anastasia."I'd only be allowed if my wife was Ana," says the Magic Mike star, "She's read the books so I don't think she'd be impressed if she couldn't be Ana." With Universal Pictures and Focus Features priority lying with finding a screenwriter and a director first, it looks like we'll have to wait until we get our Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey.
